Annabel Shaw
Instructor and ballet Philanthropist
Annabel grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, and her diverse training included Ballet, Contemporary, Modern Dance, Technical Jazz, Commercial, Musical Theatre and Tap. She left Kenya in 2015 to train in the UK for four years with the Scottish Ballet Associate Program, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and then full time with Northern Ballet School.
She went on to attended summer intensives at The University of South Carolina across two years, and completed the RAD Advanced 2 ballet exam. Annabel later returned to Kenya joining the teachers of Dance Centre Kenya and the not-for-profit organisation Artists for Africa, where she grew her love for teaching.
Since moving to Australia, Annabel has choreographed and taught for the UniMelb club, Flare Dance Ensemble, while completing a Master of Arts and Cultural Management. Alongside her work with Pointe Nation, she now has various roles with multiple contemporary dance companies across Melbourne.
